Anton grew up in the Country of Mozart, Schubert, Haydn & Strauss.
The Tradition of Art & Instrument making go together as they flow from a desire to create beauty and to leave a footprint of light and joy by inspiring thought and emotion through art and music.
After a four year Aprenticeship and one year of special traing in the worlds best pianofactory, Anton recieved his Journeymenpapers after a final Exam and moved to Canada. Anton now has more than 33 years experience in the building, repair, and tuning of pianos.
This rare talent has him travelling all over the interior of BC and Alberta to tune pianos, as well as work as a craftsman and consultant for damaged pianos.
Anton uses the traditional tuning method that is based on tuning the whole piano by ear, starting with a tuning fork, to make sure the piano sounds in tune all the way from the highest to lowest note. Anton tunes the piano as a whole, ensuring that the sound of your individual piano comes through, allowing the life and music to flow from the instrument.
The Piano should be tuned at least 2 Times per Year.
The Reasons are:
A) The 2 Seasons that bring frost and thaw bring changes of moisture content.
B) The Piano is a stringed instrument and pulles itself out of tune.
C) The Strings relax as they go out of Tune.
The shorter Strings in the treble relax differently then those in the bass and
in time a twist in the entire structure can occur.
Proper tuning prevents irreversible destabilisation.
Your piano should be tuned in fall and spring because of the enviromental Changes which speed up that Process. Making sure your piano is tuned counteracts that Change.
Some proffessional Piano artists have their Instrument tuned many times.
HAVE YOUR PIANO TUNED TO KEEP IT IN TUNE NOT ONLY
BECAUSE IT IS OUT OF TUNE.
A destabilized Instrument can be restored
